An annual event to celebrate the legendary mariachi musicians who have gathered for years at Mariachi Plaza to seek work. The Mariachi Plaza is being transformed into The Mariachi Plaza Station that will have its grand opening in 2009.

Since its inception, the annual Mariachi Festival has been planned by the residents, business people and volunteers in support of the Boyle Heights area. The event could not be held without the support of the many bureaus, departments, LAPD, LAFD, of the City of Los Angeles.
